Pet Insurance Reviews
I chose to get the pet insurance plan for my new puppy at Petsmart’s Banfield Clinic. The plan is actually a great deal. The
membership fee was $99 with a monthly fee of 16.95. But it covers physical exams, fecal exam (& deworming), tests for
heartworm/lyme/etc. Even more importantly, office visits are free, and it covers all my vaccines! This is a great plan, and I will obviously
be using it every month. I’ve actually never had an insurance plan on a pet before, but I did it this time to save me some real money.
Also, Petsmart offers a plan for less than $10 more - this plan would include a hysterectomy or castration. I’m actually planning on switching to
this plan soon. The only downside to plans like this are the upfront costs (like the membership fee). But if you think about it, you will pay
much more at a vet’s office.
